The Mediterranean Sea is the intercontinental sea that separates Europe from Africa. It is a vast sea positioned between Europe to the north, Africa to the south, and Asia to the east.
The Mediterranean Sea is an integral part of the Carmelite history because stretching south-east from this sea, with the city of Haifa sloped against it; is Mount Carmel – a coastal range rather than a mountain.
Mount Carmel is situated between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jezreel Valley. The immense natural beauty of the Mount Carmel forest is coupled with the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea.
The mountain provides a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and the coast. At the foot of Mount Carmel flows the Kishon River (I Kings 18:40). The mountain drops steeply into the Mediterranean Sea and towers over 15 miles of Israel's Mediterranean Coastline between Hadera and Haifa.
