Rom 6:19-23

I am using simple words, because perhaps it is difficult for you to understand. There was a time when you let your members be slaves of impurity and ever increasing wickedness walking in the way of sin; convert them now into servants of righteousness to the point of becoming holy. When you were slaves of sin you were not under obligation to righteousness, but what were the fruits of those actions of which you are now ashamed of? The result of all that was death. Now, however, you have freed from sin and have become slaves of God. You are bearing fruit and growing in holiness, and the result will be life everlasting. So on one side is sin and its reward is death; on the other side is God and the gift freely given by him is life everlasting in Jesus Christ our Lord.
