But now God’s way of putting people in right relationship with himself has been revealed. ….God put us right through our faith in Jesus Christ, and this is applied to all who believe. For there is no distinction of persons, because all have sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of God; and all are put right with God freely by his grace through the redemption effected in Christ Jesus. For God had given him as a sacrifice of expiation, through faith in his blood. ….it was to prove at the present time that he himself is righteous and that he puts right with God everyone who has faith in Jesus. Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On the principle of keeping the Law? No, but through another principle which is faith. For we hold that people are made holy by faith and not by observing the Law. Otherwise, God would be the God of the Jews only; but is he not the God of Gentiles also?
