Hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has already been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Consider, moreover, the time that Christ died for us: it was when we were still sinners and weakened by sin. Very rarely would anyone accept to die for an upright person; although, for a very good person, perhaps someone would give his life. But God showed his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Having been put right with God by his blood, with how much more reason shall we be saved by him from God's anger. Once enemies of God, we have come to be at peace with God through the death of his Son; how much more, having been reconciled we shall be saved through his life? Not only that, we also rejoice in God through Christ Jesus our Lord, through whom we have been reconciled.

Rom 5:5b-11
Hope does not disappoint us, because the love of God has already been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Consider, moreover, the time that Christ died for us: it was when we were still sinners and weakened by sin.
